The NOW Nanny Placement Fee is a one-time fee of $4,000 for families seeking either a permanent or temporary nanny placement, where the family is the direct employer. The rate includes a full candidate search, coordination of interviews, a comprehensive background check, drug testing, ongoing monitoring (for a year), and additional training provided by the Boston Baby Nurse & Nanny Professional Development Training Program.
If a placement doesn't work out, the following replacement and credit options apply: If the placement ends within 30 days of the nanny's last day of employment, we will provide a complimentary replacement search at no additional cost, subject to the conditions set forth in our Fees and Policies. If the placement ends after 30 days but within 365 days of the original placement date, families receive a sliding-scale credit toward a future placement fee, as detailed in our Fees and Policies. After 365 days, a new search is treated as a new placement at NOW's then-current fee.
Families employ and pay their caregivers directly, and our team remains available to assist with future searches or additional placement needs.
Families who identify their own caregiver may still want support in evaluating the candidate before hiring. NOW offers its NOW Screening Service that includes background checks, reference verification, optional drug screening, and ongoing monitoring. Families may choose a complete screening package or select individual services à la carte, depending on their needs. This service provides clarity and peace of mind so families can move forward with confidence, even when the match did not originate through our placement program.
