Just like the infamous question, “What’s for dinner?”; we sometimes struggle with the question “What to do with the children?”. But in actuality, there are so many things you can do with a child(ren). The list can go on and on and on. If you want your Babysitter or Nanny to spearhead activities, it is always wise to have an ongoing list prepared in an effort to make it easier for your caregiver. But, if you do not have one, not to worry…..
The tried-and-true activities may include reading the latest, most age-appropriate books, going to the movies, or having a movie binging session at home. Sleepovers are always fun as well as camping in the living room or backyard. Given the use of virtual reality headsets, you might have fun with full immersion activities like riding roller coasters from around the world, movement exercises, or virtual tours of museums or global cities. It is a lot of fun. If you want to add a long-term kind of project, you can set up a little garden to grow herbs, vegetables, or fruit. Instead of buying 100-piece puzzles, you can now add this type of activity by buying an app that encourages spatial visualization and imagination. A treasure hunt around the house or neighborhood can always be fun, depending on the end prize. This kind of activity can be used to get to know a neighborhood or city, with a little travel and scavenger hunt-like clues. To explore creativity, child(ren) can take art and/or pottery classes or make jewelry. If you have an aspiring chef, there are a lot of classes for children to hone their skills.
Please think up activities your child(ren) may enjoy and add them to the list. The fun comes in the fact that your Nanny or Babysitter can do these activities with your child(ren) and you can too. The family may enjoy doing any or all these activities together!
